Vote counting is top sport

The sports hall in De Wier: normally a place where people work up a sweat, form teams, run around, coach and be coached. Only to return home tired but satisfied. And in fact, today is no different. It's top sport this day!

There is a lot of walking back and forth with crates full of ballots and other paperwork. But the head is also trained: ballot by ballot, everything is counted, noted and processed, and then moved on to a new stack. Small teams complete their task in full concentration, coached here and there by the coordinating staff. Sometimes taking a breather, eating or drinking something...and then on again. To finally go home later that day, tired but satisfied.
