Accessibility

Municipality of Opsterland is easily accessible via the A7 and N381 roads. The highway and the provincial road cross the municipality.

Furthermore, amenity towns such as Heerenveen and Drachten can be reached within 10 minutes. For those who want to go out to larger cities, Leeuwarden and Groningen can be reached in 30 minutes.

Parking

Everywhere in Opsterland is free parking. That is why you cannot apply for a parking permit or parking exemption. To prevent short-stay parking spaces from being occupied by long-term parkers, a blue zone applies in and around the Hoofdstraat in Beetsterzwaag and in the center of Gorredijk.
