House Rules

We are happy to help you and we want our contact with you to be as pleasant as possible. We consider the safety of our employees very important. Therefore, we have a number of house rules. 

The following house rules apply in City Hall

We are happy to help you and want the contact to be pleasant. Safety is important - for you and for our employees. That is why we have house rules.

  1. You may not yell, curse, or discriminate. You also may not throw things, break things, or harass or threaten people.
  2. You must not touch others in a nasty way or use violence.
  3. You may not carry a weapon.
  4. Smoking or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not allowed.
  5. You may not bring animals inside, except for an assistance dog.
  6. If you damage municipality property, you may be held liable.
  7. You may enter restricted areas only if a staff member gives you permission or takes you with them.
  8. You are responsible for your own belongings. The municipality is not responsible for damage, loss or theft.
  9. You may not take photos or videos without the permission of the people in them.

What happens if you do not follow the rules?
If you do not follow the rules, we will ask you to leave the building. Will you not leave voluntarily? Then we will call the police. We can also file a police report.

These rules apply to all buildings and grounds of the Municipality of Opsterland.
