In the council chamber under the lamp light
with discussions and debate
, they sought progress
on what the future should hold
for our sixteen beautiful villages
for a stable and secure livelihood
they looked for the right steps to take
with a policy that must not fail

This Opsterlânsk administration
has been in office for four years
—a period marked by passion and enthusiasm
. A great deal has happened
, and many new initiatives have been launched
to bring about some change
. We’ve often had to forge our own path
, but it’s always been worth the effort

For some, "au revoir" means "
" while for others it marks a new beginning
Thank you for all your work
and for your time during this process

In this setting, you’ll be ready
and take the stage
In a farewell performance in a great atmosphere
you might have already gone a bit overboard
four years is quite a long time
standing up for Opsterland
there’s plenty of energy there
you certainly haven’t forgotten

For some, "au revoir" means "
" for others, a fresh start
Thank you for all your work
and for your time during this process
Be proud of what you’ve accomplished
not of what still needs to be done

In front of the TV with our noses

we raced ahead of them

First of all, we’d like to thank you

As big fans, we're really excited.

You're not needed here

That's why he won the Olympic gold medal

The whole world has seen it now

Wy krije in protte foar elkoar.
It brûst hjir fan kultuer.
Wurkje oan de mienskip sin,
troch en foar elkenien,
gjin utopy, nee wier, it kin,
