European Parliament Elections 2024

Once every 5 years, elections to the European Parliament are held. This does not happen in all member states on the same day. In the Netherlands, we go to the polls on Thursday, June 6, 2024. We will then elect the Dutch members to the European Parliament.

Today votes will be counted at the candidate level. The vote counting is open to the public. So if you want to come and watch, you are welcome to do so.

The final turnout in Opsterland is known. This year's turnout is 50.15%. This is a substantial growth compared to 2019 (42.64%) and 2014 (39.89%).
