Handicapped parking
Do you have a disability or impairment? Then you can apply for a disabled parking space by license plate near your home. Under the blue sign with the wheelchair symbol will be a white sign with the license plate of your vehicle. Only your car or disabled vehicle may park here.
Requirements
You can apply for a registered disabled parking space if:
- the medical necessity for doing so is demonstrated;
- You have a valid disabled parking permit;
- You have a car, moped or disabled vehicle;
- you regularly have to park more than 100 meters from your home because there is no space closer;
- no parking can be created on your own property;
- the parking lot to be constructed will not create problems for traffic safety or traffic flow.
Cost
You will be responsible for the cost of creating the registered disabled parking space. Keep in mind an amount of at least €250.
Details
General disabled parking
There are fees associated with a disabled parking space by license plate. You can also apply for a general disabled parking space in your neighborhood. If the municipality agrees to this, there is no cost to you. The disadvantage for you is that anyone with a disabled parking permit can park there.
