Housing and informal care
When there is intensive informal care, it is sometimes possible for the informal caregiver and the care recipient to live at the same address. It is possible for the caregiver to move in with your loved one or your loved one can move in with you. However, if you would like to have a separate living situation, you must apply to the municipality.
Mantel care home
When applying for an unlicensed informal care use on a home or placing a residential unit, the caregiver always needs a medical indication for the request for care.
As soon as a request is made, a WMO consultant visits the applicant. If it is judged that informal care is necessary, a report is drawn up of this, after which the informal caregiver or care applicant can contact the Permit, Supervision and Enforcement Department.
This department deals with residential decisions and makes a final assessment of your eligibility for the permit-exempt assisted living destination at the address provided.

(Pre-)Mantel care home
In some cases there is a care need, where there is not yet a medical indication for informal care. These are slowly progressing conditions that will eventually lead to a need for informal care. It is possible to apply for a permit for a pre-care home or unit. This Pre-mantle care housing permit is valid for up to 10 years. Before a unit comes into view, indoor options and possibilities in outbuildings on the parcel are considered. If it turns out that there are no suitable options there, a pre-mantle care unit is one of the possibilities.
