Winner most beautiful (re)construction project announced
The modern barn house in Luxwoude has been voted by residents as the most beautiful (re)construction project of 2025. At a festive ceremony on September 25, the prize was presented by Alderman Marcel van Opzeeland to the proud winners: Architectural firm Kijlstra-Brouwer, the residents of the home: Marjan Maat and Milo van der Kruis, and contractor Peter van der Hoek.

With this election the municipality wants to show that attention to design and living environment makes every building or renovation even more beautiful. With this election, the municipality wants to inspire residents and designers to design not only in a practical way, but also with an eye for beauty and integration in the environment. By putting good examples in the spotlight, the municipality hopes that future building plans will be handled just as carefully and creatively.
