Volunteers are important to our society. They give their time and energy to help others, organize activities and run clubs making our villages more livable, energetic and even more fun to live in.
There are different reasons why people volunteer. As a leisure activity, because they enjoy it, but also to gain experience, develop their talents, have contact with others, it gives satisfaction to mean something or because the work/theme is close to their heart. For temporary support, help with transportation, filling out forms or walking the dog, you can also turn to the volunteers of the various village support centers in many villages.
Municipality of Opsterland has taken out collective volunteer insurance . Volunteers are thus automatically insured free of charge through the municipality.
