Temporary Support Necessary Costs (TONK).

Do you have unavoidable decline in your income due to coronavirus and as a result you are temporarily unable to pay your living expenses. Then you can apply for the Temporary Support Necessary Expenses (TONK). 

Requirements

You may be eligible for the TONK if:
- you have an income drop of 30% or more due to corona in January 2021 compared to January 2020;
- your income is not too high (an income of more than €3,000 per month counts in full as ability to pay);
- your assets do not exceed €10.072 for singles or €20,144 for married couples;
- your rent or mortgage costs are at least €432.51 per month;
- you cannot provide for these costs in any other way;
- you have made every effort to apply for other schemes, TVL, NOW, TOZO, AIO. (If you are entitled to TOZO you must have applied for it, if you have not applied for TOZO your application will be rejected);
- the costs are related to the Netherlands;
- you are a Dutch citizen or are assimilated to it and you are not excluded for any other reason.
