The Relationship Walk invites you to take a breather and really pay attention to each other. In the beautiful nature of Beetsterzwaag, you can leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. With the help of short questions along the way, you may get to know each other even better.

Festive Opening on Valentine's Day

On February 14 at 2:00 p.m., Alderman de Vries will officially open this walk.

How does it work?

It's simple: just follow the signs along the route.

  • The route: A 4.5-kilometer walk through nature.
  • The questions: Some signs have a relationship question, such as: "What appealed to you when we first met?"
  • The conversation: Take turns answering the question. There are no right or wrong answers. It's about the conversation and being on this journey together.

Tips for a pleasant conversation

To get the most out of your walk, we have a few tips for along the way:

  • Turn off your phone for a moment: Connect with each other, not with the internet.
  • Listen without interrupting: Give the other person space to finish speaking.
  • Speak from your own perspective: Use "I" more often instead of "you."
  • Be curious: Ask open-ended questions and take your time. Silence is also acceptable.

Starting point: The route starts behind the town hall (Hoofdstraat 82, Beetsterzwaag). Enjoy nature and each other's company!
