Successful edition of Hunting Season in Ureterp

Last week, Ureterp was all about excitement, action and cooperation during the spectacular Hunting Season event. As many as 128 participants took on the challenge of staying out of the hands of police and enforcement.

Mayor Andries Bouwman concluded the evening, "You ran, hid, devised tactics and maybe even managed to escape. The police and enforcement did their best to catch you, but some of you outsmarted them. Kudos to you for that!"

Besides being adventurous, the event had an important message: getting to know police, enforcement and youth organization Code Hans. Together they dedicate themselves daily to a safe and pleasant Opsterland. Participants received a goodie bag with information on how to contact them with questions or help.

Winners

The fastest participants of the evening were:
🥇Sido Wolters (12 years old) - 18.59 minutes
🥈Jarno Wolters (12 years old) - 19.05 minutes (Sido's twin brother)
🥉Mathieu Falkena (14 years old) & Rinzo Genobia (16 years old) - 19.09 minutes

With a great turnout and enthusiastic responses from both participants and organizers, the municipality, police and Code Hans look back on a very successful edition of Hunting Season in Ureterp.
