As a resident of Opsterland, you can share your views on items on the agenda of the municipal council’s exploratory meeting (ORB). This is called public comment. You can offer public comment during the Mienskipspetear. If you would like to speak with council members about a topic that is not on the ORB agenda, please contact the Municipal Clerk’s Office. The Municipal Clerk’s Office then Municipal Clerk’s Office the most appropriate way to share your information with the council.
You want to speak
Would you like to participate in a community meeting? Please notify the Municipal Clerk’s Office no later than 12:00 p.m. on the day of the community meeting, by phone at 0512 386 333 or by email at griffier@opsterland.nl, stating:
To ensure we can properly introduce you to the board, we would like to hear from you:
- The topic you would like to speak about
- Name
- Place of residence
- On behalf of whom are you speaking?
- Phone number where we can reach you if necessary
Live recordings will be made during the community meeting. These will be available for viewing on the municipal council website after the meeting.
You cannot comment on:
- Items on the agenda for the council meeting, including incoming correspondence.
- A decision by the municipal council against which an objection or appeal has been filed, or for which a ruling has been requested from the court and the ruling has not yet become final;
- Appointments, selections, nominations, or recommendations of individuals;
- The way the municipality behaved toward you or another person (complaint);
- Subjects not within the competence of the City Council.
