Privacy and personal data rules of conduct

The general idea is that governments and semi-governments provide insight into their functioning. Not only the end result of decision-making or policy is important, at least as important is the way in which the decisions were arrived at. The Opsterland municipal council actively discloses information. This information sometimes includes privacy-sensitive information, such as personal details of administrators, officials and residents. Privacy and the careful handling of personal data is of great importance to the municipal council; it is not for nothing that it is extensively protected by the European General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).
