Energy Explorer
HBO I €4,811 I fixed-term contract with the prospect of permanent employment I 32-36 hours I Beetsterzwaag
Sustainable living in our communities starts with you! The sun is shining as you visit your first resident. Over a cup of coffee at the kitchen table, you discuss the possibilities and limitations of making the house more sustainable. The resident is happy that you are helping to make the house more sustainable and reduce the energy bill. That gives you energy! That afternoon, you and your three immediate colleagues review your visits and brainstorm the best strategy for reaching even more people in the coming period.
What will you do?
You will assist the residents of the municipalities of Ooststellingwerf, Weststellingwerf, and Opsterland with the energy transition. You will ensure that they feel heard and supported when making sometimes difficult choices about adapting their homes and making them more energy efficient.
You look at what people need and know how to break the ice with a cup of coffee and a good conversation. In consultation meetings, you discuss the options for home insulation, including possible subsidies and other financing options. When it gets really technical, you call in the help of energy and financial advisors.
You assist residents throughout the entire insulation process, and you don't do that from behind a desk. Through personal conversations at the kitchen table, you help residents make their homes energy efficient. You know that every resident and every home is different, and with your people skills, Health that everyone can go through the sustainability process at their own pace. Where necessary, you help with requesting and assessing quotes and you are in close contact with your colleagues in the OWO municipalities to take as much of the burden off the resident as possible. And yes, that includes paperwork such as applying for the ISDE subsidy. Whatever the resident needs, you are there to help.

This is us
Ooststellingwerf, Weststellingwerf, and Opsterland: three rural municipalities in Southeast Friesland with a combined population of over 80,000, 55 villages, a diverse landscape, and lots of greenery. Because we are similar municipalities, we work together a lot. This also applies to the energy and heat transition. Every day, we are committed to our people and businesses in our villages. We open doors to new ways of doing things and look beyond our landscapes. Our motto? It is possible. And we believe that it will be even better if we do it together.
A good working atmosphere, plenty of humor, interest in each other, and a high five for a smart solution. We are open to everyone. And with us, you can be who you are. You will be given the space to organize your work in a way that suits you. We consider your development important and are happy to contribute to it. And we encourage you to go on an adventure. We give you the space, will you take it?
