Citizens' Initiative
You can have your own topic placed on the City Council's meeting agenda. For example, if you think that the council should pay more attention to a particular topic, you can make this known.
There are a number of Requirements that the citizens' initiative must meet:
- It must be aimed at the common good.
- The topic must not have been decided by the City Council in the last two years. You can check with the council clerk to see if your topic has already been discussed during that period.
- The topic should be serious and concrete.
- A citizens' initiative should not be about municipal policy.
Filing a citizens' initiative
If you want to submit a citizens' initiative, you can do so by completing the citizens' initiative request form.
