Educational Housing Construction Project Manager (36 hours)

like to achieve our goals together with others. When it comes to Health for good quality
education, we work closely with various school boards. The municipality is responsible for
The presence of sufficient adequate educational capacity. School boards are responsible
for maintenance, adaptation and operation of school buildings.

All local agreements, ambitions and plans around educational housing are included in
an Integrated Education Housing Plan that was recently reauthorized for the period 2022
through 2035. The plan represents a shared ambition of school boards and the municipality to implement
of measures in educational housing in the short, medium and long term.
As a result of this plan, several (large) projects will be carried out in the coming years to bring the
school buildings to meet current educational needs.
 

Because of this development, we are looking for a three-year term for a

Educational Housing Construction Project Manager (36 hours)

What do we need you for?

• You are construction project manager of the various construction activities resulting from the IHP;
• You are familiar with the various phases of construction projects and are able to properly supervise them, testing for quality and monitoring progress;
• Both in the design phase and in the implementation process, you will evaluate architectural elaborations of the project;
• At the construction site, you will liaise with school administration and act as a linking pin between school administration, construction team and the municipality;
• You will ensure proper communication, reporting and coordination with the responsible portfolio holder on the progress of various projects;
• You will advise and report to the Board and Council as needed.

What do we ask of you?

• A completed degree in Construction Engineering at the college level;
• Knowledge of and experience with methods of project-based work;
• You have knowledge of current regulations, including the building code;
• You have knowledge of installations, procurement procedures and specification drawings;
• You have at least 5 years of experience in similar positions, experience with construction work in the
  educational field is a plus;
• You are stress-resistant, practical and solution-oriented;
• You keep calm and keep an overview;
• You work independently but are also a team player;
• You can interact effectively and flexibly with both the shop floor, management and administration, both within the municipal organization and at the school sites where you work.

What do we have to offer you?
 

A 36 hour position with plenty of challenging assignments that are accomplished with the team
are achieved together with the team. Depending on education and experience, the gross salary amounts up to € 5.372,- gross per
month (job scale 11) for full-time employment, excluding an IKB of 17.05%.
