Construction Project Manager Educational Facilities (36 hours)

We invest in the quality of our own organization. A decisive organization that does what is really
necessary for the villages, residents, businesses, and social organizations. In Opsterland, we want
to achieve our goals together with others. When it comes to Health high-quality
education, we work closely with various school boards. The municipality is responsible for
ensuring sufficient adequate educational capacity. School boards are responsible
for the maintenance, modification, and operation of school buildings.

All local agreements, ambitions, and plans regarding educational accommodation are included in
an Integrated Accommodation Plan for Education that was recently re-adopted for the period 2022
to 2035. The plan represents a shared ambition of school boards and the municipality to implement
measures in educational accommodation in the short, medium, and long term.
Based on this plan, several (large) projects will be carried out in the coming years to ensure that
school buildings meet current educational needs.
 

Due to this development, we are looking for a

Construction Project Manager Educational Facilities (36 hours)

Why do we need you?

• You are the construction project manager for the various construction activities arising from the IHP;
• You are familiar with the various phases of construction projects and are able to supervise them effectively, assessing quality and monitoring progress.
• You will assess the architectural details of the project during both the design phase and the implementation process.
• You maintain contact with the school management at the construction site and act as a link between the school board, construction team, and municipality.
• You ensure good communication, reporting, and coordination with the responsible portfolio manager regarding the progress of the various projects;
• You advise and report to the Board and the Council where necessary.

What do we ask of you?

• A completed degree in Architecture at the higher professional education (HBO) level;
• Knowledge of and experience with project-based working methods;
• You are familiar with current regulations, including the Building Decree;
• You have knowledge of installations, tendering procedures, and specification drawings;
• You have at least 5 years of experience in similar positions, experience with construction work in the
  education field is an advantage;
• You are stress-resistant, practical, and solution-oriented;
• You remain calm and keep track of everything;
• You work independently but are also a team player;
• You can deal effectively and flexibly with the workplace, management, and the board, both within the municipal organization and at the school locations where you work.

What can we offer you?
 

A 36-hour position with plenty of challenging assignments that are carried out together with the team
. Depending on your education and experience, the gross salary is a maximum of €5,372 gross per
month (job scale 11) for full-time employment, excluding an IKB of 17.05%.
