Soil investigation in Bakkeveen, Wijnjewoude, and Hemrik
On behalf of network operator Liander, soil investigations will start next Monday in the public spaces of Bakkeveen, Wijnjewoude, and Hemrik. This work is part of the 'Nulelie' project, which focuses on the much-needed reinforcement of the electricity grid in the municipalities of Opsterland and Ooststellingwerf.
What's going to happen?
In order to prepare the power grid for the future, the network needs to be reinforced in various places. Soil surveys are necessary to determine the exact condition and composition of the soil before the actual excavation work can begin.
- Start: Monday, February 23
- Locations: Public spaces in Bakkeveen, Wijnjewoude, and Hemrik.
- Nuisance: Disruption to residents will be kept to a minimum. Only brief investigations will be carried out at specific locations.
With this step, Liander and the municipality are working to create a reliable and future-proof energy network for our region.
