Staying loan consumer and cashing loan
Comfortable, sustainable and safe living. Sometimes you need to modify your home to do so. Think for example of a stairlift or solar panels. Through the municipality you can get money for this in the form of these two loans: the Blijverslening consumer loan or a Verzilverlening loan. With both loans, you can make your home more sustainable, life-proof and/or asbestos-free. Both loans have favorable financial Requirements, such as a low, fixed interest rate.
Requirements of the two loans:
Staying consumer loan
Below are the most important Requirements. The full Requirements can be found in the regulation and policies.
- Minimum loan amount €2,500;
- Maximum loan amount €10,000;
- The term is up to 10 years;
- Do you have a partner? If so, your partner must also meet the Requirements ;
- You cannot get a loan for modifications that have already been made or are already being made;
- The Blijverslening consumer loan cannot be used to finance a gas-dependent (heating or cooking) installation.
- A minimum of 50% of the amount borrowed must be used for amenities that increase the life safety of the home. The other 50% may be used for energy-saving measures or asbestos removal.
Redemption
Below are the most important Requirements. The full Requirements can be found in the regulation and policies.
- Minimum loan amount €2,500;
- Maximum loan amount €40,000;
- The term is 75 years;
- The fixed-interest period is 40 years;
- Not permitted for residential tenants;
- The minimum age is 10 years before the legal state pension age and has no maximum age
Example 1 (2025): you were born on January 20, 1968. Your expected state pension age is 67 + 6 months. As of 20-7-2035, you can receive AOW. You are eligible for the Redeeming Allowance from 20-7-2025.
Example 2 (2025): you were born on May 20, 1994. Your expected state pension age is 69 + 6 months. As of 20-11-2063, you can receive AOW. You are not eligible for the Redeeming Allowance.
- The WOZ value of the property is up to € 514,500 (reference date 01-01-2024);
- Do you have a partner? If so, he/she must also meet the Requirements ;
- You cannot get a loan for modifications that have already been made or are already being made;
- The Verzil Loan cannot be used to finance (cooking or heating) installations that rely on a gas connection;
- The Redemption Loan does not increase your monthly expenses and is not income dependent;
- The Redeeming Loan is a mortgage loan; there are closing costs associated with this;
- If you have a Redemption Loan, it is more difficult for you to take out an additional mortgage after that.

Would you like to apply for a consumer Happy Home Loan or a Real Estate Loan? Then fill out the form "Application for Consumer Residence Loan" or "Application for Realization Loan" (at the top of this page under the heading "Directly arrange"). You may qualify for a loan. Please note that it may take several weeks before you are awarded the loan.
