At the end of October, the leaf bins will also be set up again in the villages. These are intended for leaves from municipal trees. Because we only have a limited number of bins, we’ve chosen the locations in collaboration with Health —namely, places where they’re most needed and easily accessible. This approach has worked very well for years.
Leaves and branches do not belong in the leaf bins or on the street. This helps keep the street sweepers from getting clogged. You can dispose of green waste from your yard in the green bin, or you can drop it off for free at the recycling center in Gorredijk or the green waste drop-off point in Ureterp.
