More housing for Nij Beets: 23 new homes

The construction of 23 new homes in Nij Beets will start soon. The Municipality of Opsterland and project developer Kuin B.V. have signed the anterior agreement for the plan 'Nij Beets, Doarpstrjitte 2'. This is an important step towards additional housing in the village.

Jan Kuin (director Kuin B.V.) and Alderman Marcel van Opzeeland sign the anterior agreement.

A new destination

On the site where a contracting company used to stand, on the north side of the village, 23 new homes will be built. This will give the site a new purpose as a residential area. With the signing of the agreement, all agreements on execution and costs have been established. In the coming period, the plan will be further developed so that construction can begin.

A wonderful step

Alderman Marcel van Opzeeland is happy that the project can start: "This is a wonderful step for Nij Beets. Mei dit plan kreëarje wy net allinnich hurd nedige nije wenten, mar fergrutsje wy ek de kânsen foar húshâldens dy't hjir wjen en libjen bliuwe wolle. Sa fersterkje wy de mienskip en bouwe wy mei-inoar oan in takomstbestindich Nij Beets."

Housing construction in Nij Beets

Throughout Opsterland, as many as one thousand new homes will be built until 2035. On the website of the municipality of Opsterland you can find the housing dashboard.
