Certificate of Good Conduct - VOG
A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is proof of good behavior. Employers or organizations may ask for a VOG. For example, if you are going to work in child care or education. Or if you apply for a visa or want to join a shooting club.

Your inquiry
Justis handles all applications for a VOG. Have you not committed any criminal offenses? Then you will receive the CGC. Does Justis discover criminal offenses? Then they will look at why you are applying for the CGC and whether or not the offenses are appropriate.
Applying to the municipality
You can download the Application Form VOG from Justis. You will usually receive the form from the agency requesting the VOG.
- Fill out the form completely.
- Sign the form.
- Have Part 2 completed and signed by the agency requesting the VOG. If this is not possible, fill in the information yourself. You must show why you filled in the information yourself. More information can be found on the application form.
- Deliver the form in person to the municipality.
- Make an appointment at the municipality to turn in the form.
- Also include:
- All documents that the form requires you to submit
- A valid ID
- A debit card or cash
- The municipality submits your application to Justis.
- Justis will send you a letter within 4 weeks. This letter will state whether or not you will receive the VOG.
Apply online
An organization asking you for a VOG can also do so online. You then do not have to visit the municipality. The online application is cheaper than the application through the municipality. The organization prepares the application. Then you do the following:
- You will receive an e-mail with a link to a web application.
- Log in with your DigiD login code.
- Enter your information.
- Pay via iDEAL.
- Justis will send you a letter within 4 weeks. This letter will state whether or not you will receive the VOG.
Cost
A VOG costs €41.35 if you apply through the municipality. An online application costs €33.85. Volunteers working with children or people with a mental disability can obtain a free VOG. The application must be made digitally at Justis.
