What will you do?

You will work with a fellow fixer-upper to support residents in making their homes more energy efficient.

Among other things, you will perform the following energy-saving jobs in people's homes:

  • Attaching draft strips to interior doors
  • Installing radiator foil
  • Replacing incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs

Collaborating with others

You help the resident with the above practical energy-saving measures that will allow them to save substantially on their energy consumption. You will do this together with:

  • A volunteer neighborhood energy coach. Together you help the resident save energy and become more energy aware.
  • The resident may also express other problems or concerns to you. You take these to the coordinator, your permanent point of contact. The coordinator may contact Tenants' Interest or the housing corporation.

Who are you?

  • You are handy with chores in and around the house
  • You have an open, social attitude and enjoy working with people
  • You are flexible and adapt easily to different situations
  • You are reliable and keep your appointments

From when?

In September, in preparation, you will receive training in two half-day sessions to become an energy fixer. Starting in October 2025, the first fix actions will take place in Ureterp and Gorredijk.
