If you have a business and would like to have a patio located on or adjacent to the public road in doing so, you may do so if you meet the Requirements below.

Requirements

Requirements include:

  • the patio should not be disfiguring to the streetscape;
  • the patio must not create a hazard or nuisance to the surrounding area;
  • the patio must not endanger traffic safety;
  • sufficient space must be left for pedestrians, handicapped and baby carriages.

If you do not meet these Requirements , you must apply for an exemption and it will be considered whether you can still operate a terrace. For establishments that require a liquor and catering license (DHW license), the terrace must also be listed in the DHW license.

  • the place;
  • The dates the terrace is open (terrace season);
  • desired patio opening hours;
  • a situation sketch.

In addition, you can show the following:

  • a hospitality license;
  • an identity document.
