New Year's Eve activity grant

Are you organizing a New Year's Eve activity? Apply for subsidy. If you want to organize a New Year's Eve party on New Year's Eve as a village association, youth box or other body, you can apply for a subsidy before November 1, 2024. The municipality of Opsterland particularly appreciates this type of initiative.

Requirements

To qualify for a grant, there are a number of Requirements. 

  • The festivities are open to the public.
  • The festivities will take place between New Year's Eve Dec. 31, 10 a.m., and New Year's Day Jan. 1, 05 a.m.
  • The festivities are predominantly aimed at countering nuisance on New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve, preventing public order problems and promoting cohesion in the villages and cores.
  • The festivities should meet the needs of different age and target groups in the village as much as possible, for example by organizing a fireworks show and a New Year's Eve party at the turn of the year.
  • Grants will only be made to one applicant per village. Multiple activities may be subsidized per application.
  • If there are more applications from one village, we will promote pooling these activities.
  • The grant for the festivities amounts from a minimum of €500 per activity, up to a maximum of €3,000 per application. The amount of the subsidy is a maximum of 70% of the of the eligible costs.
  • The grant award decision will be determined by December 20, 2024 and paid out by the end of December 2024.
  • The provisions of the General Administrative Law Act, the General Subsidy Ordinance Opsterland and the Subsidy Ordinance New Year's Eve Activities apply to this grant award.
  • Required to perform the activities as specified in the application.
  • Within two weeks of the relevant New Year's Eve celebration, the applicant must demonstrate, through a photograph and a brief content report, that the activities actually took place.
