Stand permit application

If you want to sell or offer services, goods or food from, for example, a stall, cart, stand or table, you need a pitch permit. You can apply for a permit from the municipality. You may then set up your stall in a public place in the open air.

You must also apply for a permit if you are using private land.

In that case, make sure you do have prior (written) permission from the landowner.

Pitch does not include:

  • a fixed place in an (annual) market (Municipal Law, art. 160, first paragraph, opening words and under g);
  • A fixed place at an event (Apv, art. 2:24).

The municipality may refuse to issue a permit for the following reasons:

  • in the interests of public order
  • to prevent or limit nuisances
  • the protection of the external appearance of the municipality
  • road safety
  • the purposes of a zoning plan

Keep in mind that you must also comply with requirements of other laws. For example, rules on nuisance, nuisance and hygiene.

The pitch can only be issued for a certain period of time.

Note: Apply for the permit at least eight weeks before the time the permit is needed.

It is always possible to inquire first if it makes sense to apply for a pitch, also considering your desired location and pitches already in place.

At the top of the page, under direct arrange, you can download the application form. You can use this form for the application. The form also lists the documents, which must be attached to the application in order for it to be processed. You can send the application directly to vergunningen@owo-gemeenten.nl, so that your application can be processed immediately.

More information can be found in the pitch policy
