Smart and safe online
From May 27 through June 14, various organizations in Southeast Friesland are hosting the “Smart Online in Southeast Friesland” Theme Weeks. These weeks will focus on online safety, digital resilience, and recognizing scams. You are warmly invited to attend.
More and more often, people are encountering phishing, fake messages, digital fraud, or suspicious phone calls and emails. How can you tell what’s real? And what can you do to better protect yourself online? During the theme weeks, you’ll receive practical tips, helpful explanations, and actionable advice from experts.
There are workshops, interactive films, lectures, consultation hours, and information booths at various locations throughout the region. The activities are accessible and engaging for residents who want to become safer and more confident online.

Help and advice available every day at the library
During the theme weeks, you can also visit the libraries in the region every day. The libraries serve as Digital Government Information Points (IDO): the go-to place where you can get free help with digital questions, DigiD, government websites, and safe internet use.
The Mar en Fean Libraries (in Heerenveen) will also set up a special information table with books, flyers, and practical information on digital security, cybercrime, and the full range of activities on offer.
