The 5 tips for safe carbide shooting

Carbide shooting is a wonderful tradition that, in addition to the familiar banging, provides a lot of conviviality and fun at the turn of the year. But do you want to keep it cozy? Then above all, shoot safely!

  • Prepare well. And inquire with the municipality about Requirements and Permits early.
  • Protect yourself and others. Use hearing protection and wear safety glasses.
  • Health for first aid. And for adequate fire extinguishers (water for cooling, fire blanket) so you can act properly, should something go wrong.
  • Use good equipment. Use only a milk can in good condition with a solid bottom. Shoot with a plastic ball instead of a milk can lid and Health that the canister - after igniting - cannot shoot backwards.
  • Ignite the carbide safely. Ignite the canister with a torch on a stick while standing on the side of the milk canister. Never sit on the canister. Health that the public is at a safe distance.
