This special day is all about the two of you together. And you can get married almost anywhere, you just need a wedding officiant. And that would be me. You could say I am a wedding officiant, because extraordinary civil registrar (BABS) is such a mouthful. In your case that is within the municipality of Opsterland, perhaps in the beautiful Lycklamahûs in Beetsterzwaag.

If I get the honor of officiating at your ceremony, it is of course necessary to get to know each other a little better. I would like to come to your home to hear what is important to you in life. Your children, hobbies, pets, work, family ties and friends are just a few of the many other personal things that come up. With this information I can create a wedding speech in which you recognize yourselves and in which cheerfulness prevails and emotion is within reach.
And love is like nature, beautiful in all seasons with freezing, thawing, blooming, dying and blossoming again. It is your day so I am happy to adapt to your wishes. The speech is the prelude to hearing you say YES wholeheartedly. After all, that is your goal to walk the further path of life together. I would be honored to play a small role on your special day.
I will therefore introduce myself briefly. I am Maaija de Roos, born March 1, 1965 in Kollumerzwaag. I live in Oosterwolde, am married and a mother. I love people, animals and nature. Since 1984 I have been working in the financial world, know a lot about people but I can (and will) never talk about that, bank secret! I am active for and in nature, was for years involved in it Fryske Gea and am a board member of the Cultural Fund. Other hobbies are; wine & food, reading, horseback riding, boating and motorcycling. My natural interest in people makes me want to become a wedding hostess.
Friends say; "that's right up your alley, just the thing for you". Your considerations to continue together and to be able to share that with your guests is 100% present at a wedding ceremony. By being sworn in as a wedding officiant, I will soon be allowed to tell everything you put in front of me. Of course I will do my utmost to make this part of your day unforgettable, yn 't Frysk, Dutch, German or English, so that in 5, 12,5 or 25 years you will still remember it with pleasure.
