Talking helps
First, of course, it is important to keep talking to each other. So first try to talk out your problems with the official you believe is responsible. Often a mistake is easily corrected. Sometimes there is a misunderstanding. A good conversation can already eliminate your problem.

Handling your complaint
Good to know
The complaint coordinator will look at your complaint and contact the appropriate person, department or agency. The complaint coordinator does not resolve the problem or conflict himself or herself.
Notification and objection
Do you notice something in the public space? For example, a loose paving stone, illegal waste dumping, destruction of playground equipment or a dangerous situation caused by municipal trees (e.g. blown down or branches on the road)? If so, make a report of it. If you disagree with a decision made by the municipality, file an objection. This is a decision that directly adversely affects you.
Tips
You can view the laws and regulations regarding the Opsterland Municipality's complaints procedure through the national facility www.overheid.nl.
