Public space consists of places that are accessible to everyone. Think of squares, roads, parks or playgrounds. We want to keep these public spaces clean, whole and safe. Together we can keep our municipality livable.

Something wrong with public space?

Do you notice something in the public space? For example, a loose sidewalk tile, illegal waste dumping, destruction of playground equipment or a dangerous situation caused by municipal trees e.g. blown down or branches on the road? Report it!

How does it work?

View first on the Map if your report has already been made by someone else. If it hasn't? Then click 'New Report' to file your report. You can report anonymously or leave your details. You will then be kept informed of the progress of your report. Enforcement cases cannot be made anonymously and are not shown on the Map due to privacy concerns.

Make your report through the BuitenBeter app!

The free BuitenBeter app is available for Android and iOS. You can download the app from the Apple store or Google Playstore. You register once as a resident of the Municipality of Opsterland. After that, you can pass on reports very easily. The app guides you through the menu. The smartphone adds the location. A photo is also attached in no time. The report goes directly to our field service and is then processed. If you leave your details, you will be kept informed about the handling of your report.
