Reporting code for professionals

Our organization has a responsibility to respond effectively to signs of child abuse and domestic violence. As of July 2013, it is nationally mandatory to act according to the five steps of the Reporting Code for Domestic Violence and Child Abuse. Our organization has established a mandatory protocol for this.

In short, this means:

  1. Bringing signals into Map .
  2. Consult with an attention officer for domestic violence and child abuse and possibly consult with Safe House.
  3. Conversation with parents and stakeholders.
  4. Weighing the severity of the child abuse or domestic violence.
  5. Deciding on getting help and/or reporting to Safe House.
