Gorredijk Loevestein phase 5

In the Regional Housing Deal Southeast Fryslân, the Loevestein phase 5 planning area is included as a key project. Key projects are projects that are of (great) importance to be able to realize the performance agreements with the target groups named therein between central government, the province and municipalities and for which these parties jointly believe that extra time, energy and financial resources must be invested in them to make these projects possible. The municipality owns this area.
In order to prepare an environmental plan for this area, an urban design must first be prepared.
Planning:
- Q2 2026: preparation of urban design plan
- Q3 2026: Final design and visual quality plan
- Q3 & Q4 2026: Develop a master plan and carry out land development
- Q1 2027: Finalize land development plan & Civil engineering design
- Q2 2027: Start site preparation
- Q3 2027: The timing and details of the lot allocation are still to be finalized
Explanation of the Map
The “ Map ” on this page shows the area designated for the development of Loevestein Phase 5. This Map is intended to illustrate the scope of the project. The Map is not a design of the future residential neighborhood. Therefore, it does not yet indicate where homes, roads, water features, or green spaces will be located. The urban design is currently still being developed.
Information Session Coming Soon
The municipality is currently working on the plans for Loevestein Phase 5. To inform residents and nearby residents about this, we will be holding an informational meeting soon.
During this meeting, we’ll provide more details about the plans, the process, and the schedule. There will also be time for questions. As soon as the date and location are confirmed, we’ll post them on this page and through our other communication channels.
