Installing slot machines (presence permit)
You are not allowed to place a gaming machine in your establishment just like that. There are dexterity slot machines and gaming machines. The latter is also called slot machine and/or gambling machine.

Skill Machine
In a dexterity machine, such as a pinball machine or video games, the player influences the course of the game. A player can only win extended play time or free play at a skill machine. These machines do not require a license. They may be placed in low-threshold establishments (e.g. snack bars and canteens) and in high-threshold establishments (e.g. restaurant or café establishments) .
Slot machine
In a slot machine, the player has no influence on the outcome of the game, any winnings are chance. These winnings may include, for example: prize payouts, including the prize to continue playing for free. Consider a slot machine. A permit, called an attendance permit, is required for the installation of these machines.
An attendance permit can only be granted for gaming machines in a so-called high-threshold catering establishment. These are establishments where only a restaurant or café business is practiced and where the activities are mainly aimed at adults. A license can only be granted if you are also in possession of a current alcohol license (pursuant to Section 3 of the Alcohol Act).
There should never be more than 2 vending machines.
Note: Apply for the permit at least eight weeks before the time the permit is needed.
It is always possible to inquire first whether it is necessary to apply for an attendance permit, also considering your establishment.
