When it is slippery, Opsterland municipality gritters according to a gritting route. The route is divided according to the use and accessibility of the roads.

On weekdays between 4 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. and weekends between Friday afternoon 4 p.m. to Monday morning 7:30 a.m., you can watch our smoothing operations live.
How does the Map work with the gritting routes?
The Map shows seven gritting routes of the municipality of Opsterland. The basic route is indicated as black. When the route is gritted, it is given a color, which remains visible for six hours.
Sections gritted by the neighboring municipality or province are marked as red and cannot be monitored live.
You can zoom the Map in and out to see it up close or to view a particular area, for example.
