Opsterlands Belang appoints Maria le Roy as the informateur

The city council has designated Opsterlands Belang to take the lead in forming a new government. The party has appointed Maria le Roy to oversee that process.

Following the elections, Opsterlands Belang won 9 seats, making it the largest party in the Opsterland municipal council. Consequently, during its meeting on April 1, the municipal council designated the party to take the lead in forming a new coalition.

Afterward, the designated parties will outline their plans for the next four years and determine which alderpersons they will appoint.

All council members took the oath of office and made their pledge at that time. Eight of the twenty-three council members are new to the council.
