Municipality of Opsterland received European grant money (European Social Fund) to help people with a vulnerable labor market position find employment through mentoring.

The grant specifically targets:

  • People on benefits;
  • Young people (under 28);
  • Non-beneficiaries (no work or no benefits);
  • People with a long-term illness, condition or disability;
  • Status holders (co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund);
  • Refugee with residency status.

The municipality of Opsterland wants everyone to have the opportunity to work. It does not matter where you come from or who you are.

Leeuwarden municipality is center municipality for labor market region Fryslân and applied for the ESF subsidy under the name Samen Aan De Slag (Getting Started Together) and in cooperation with other municipalities, including municipality Opsterland.
