Beetsterzwaag Community Center - Olterterp

Like most villages in Opsterland, Beetsterzwaag has a village support center. You can contact the village support center for help and temporary assistance. For example, if you are (temporarily) unable to do your own shopping or walk your dog. Or if you need help filling out difficult forms or have a transportation problem. Do you need someone to listen to you, go for a walk, or have a friendly chat? You are also welcome at the village support center for this.

Here’s how the Village Support Center works:

The Village Support Center helps residents with questions or issues related to housing, Health well-being. Your questions will always be treated confidentially. We first look for a solution within the village, with the help of volunteers. If that’s not possible or if professional help is needed, we’ll refer you to the Regional Team or another agency.

You can reach the Beetsterzwaag and Surrounding Areas Community Support Center by calling 06-17 34 18 34 or by emailing dspbeetsterzwaageo@gmail.com

Examples of questions to the village support center:

  • I am having trouble with forms. Is there anyone who can help me?
  • I would like to talk, bike or walk with someone from time to time. With whom can I do that?
  • Where can I ask questions about my adolescent teen's alcohol and drug use?
  • I am new to the village and would like to join something. What is there to do?
  • Due to illness or old age, I can no longer do my yard work. Who can help me?
  • I cannot take public transportation but still want to visit my family. What is possible?
  • I need a wheelchair temporarily. Where can I get one?
  • I don't understand the bill for 'co-payment'. Who can help me?
  • How do I get home care if I need it?
