Construction of MFC De Finne continues!

Last night, April 22, the town council unanimously approved the building loan for the realization of the new multifunctional center (MFC) on Vlaslaan in Beetsterzwaag. This development has a long history, but now great strides are being made!

Cooperation between involved parties

Stichting Comprix, the board of cooperative school 'De Finne', is acting as the building owner of the MFC and is working with the municipality to fill in the public area at this location. Together with the partners Kinderwoud and V.V. De Sweach, the new building will be realized.

Design and principles

Over the past year and a half, KHV Architects, in collaboration with partners Nijeboer Hage, Dijkhuis, Noorman Advies and Project- and Bouwmanagement Giezen, developed the design for the building. The result is a compact two-story building in which cooperation and the shared use of spaces are central. All legal requirements and frameworks have been carefully worked out, and attention has also been paid to traffic and the pick-up and drop-off situation for children.

Next steps

With the granting of the construction credit, the building permit can now be applied for and the tendering for the realization can be started. After the summer vacations, the first construction work will start.

Neighborhood walk-in evening

A neighborhood walk-in evening will be held in the near future to further explain the plan.

Alderman Marcel van Opzeeland speaking out

"Last night the council unanimously approved the arrival of MFC De Finne. Great! The construction of an MFC involving several parties has been a long but careful process. The cooperation with Comprix, V.V. De Sweach and Kinderwoud forms a strong basis. Together we will confidently take the final step: construction!"
