Beetsterzwaag - Road Closure on Poostweg Due to Bridge Replacement
Road closure due to the replacement of the wooden bridge with a new concrete bridge.
From Monday, September 21, 2026, through Thursday, January 28, 2027, at the latest, the existing wooden bridge on Poostweg in Beetsterzwaag will be replaced by a new concrete bridge. The exact duration of the project will depend in part on weather conditions.
The work involves removing the old bridge, creating an environmentally friendly riverbank, installing revetment and a wildlife crossing, and constructing the new concrete bridge, including paving.
During the work, Poostweg/Poasen near the bridge will be completely closed to all traffic, including pedestrians. Emergency services have been notified of the closure.
