Beetsterzwaag Tolman location

We are working on a future-proof interpretation of the Tolman location in Beetsterzwaag. In the past period we have taken important steps and collected valuable input from local residents and other stakeholders.
On the basis of these reactions we have started drawing up an image quality plan. This plan gives direction to the spatial and architectural quality of the future development and is a further elaboration of the existing Spatial Quality Plan Hoofdstraat Beetsterzwaag.
News update - Review of information meeting Tolman location Beetsterzwaag
Tuesday evening, July 8, a well-attended information meeting on the draft image quality plan for the Tolman location was held in De Buorskip. Alderman Marcel van Opzeeland opened the evening, after which Het Oversticht explained the urban design and architectural principles. Then the walk-in market started.
For this project the municipality has determined the frameworks; within these frameworks the initiator is elaborating the design for the Tolman location. The frameworks are laid down in the image quality plan that was shared in draft form with the village this evening.
Alderman Marcel van Opzeeland: "It is good to see how much interest there is in the Tolman location. I think it is important to include the inhabitants of Beetsterzwaag in the development of this project at this important visibility location. At the previous meeting there were good content suggestions. We have included these, where possible, in the draft image quality plan presented yesterday. With the plan we have laid a foundation for further development."
