Over the coming week, the firm vandervalk+degroot will be carrying out sewer cleaning and inspection work on behalf of the municipality of Opsterland. This helps us keep our sewer system in good condition.

What You Need to Know

• When: Within 5 business days of receiving the resident letter (between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.).
• Traffic: There may be temporary traffic disruptions due to construction vehicles. Streets will generally remain accessible, but may be partially closed for short periods.
• Parking: Keep manhole covers on the street clear of cars or other obstacles.

Prevent disturbances at home

Due to the high water pressure during cleaning, air or water may spray out of your drains. Therefore, please take the following precautions:

• Keep the toilet lid closed (preferably with a damp cloth on top).
• Cover the drains of the sinks, shower, and kitchen sink with a wet cloth.
• Do you smell a sewer odor? Flush all the faucets and toilets briefly to refill the trap seals with water.
