The time has come. There you are, ready to be joined in holy matrimony! A solemn moment that will stay with you for a lifetime. A moment where you officially establish your love for each other, in the presence of loved ones. I am happy to contribute to this unforgettable day.
My name is Arend Waninge. I live in Terwispel and also got married over thirty years ago in the stately Lycklamahûs in Beetsterzwaag. A day I still remember well.
Storytelling is my passion. I do that in many ways. I have been active in the region as a journalist for 25 years, was co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Sa! Besides telling stories on paper and online, I also regularly present a concert or gathering, lead a discussion or am a speaker at a funeral.
I enjoy beautifully putting into words the story people want to tell or outlining someone's life and motivations. Here a word more, there a word less. Until the composition of language is finished. As a speaker, I like to add a little (subtle) humor; it makes it nice and relaxed. And... it can be in Dutch, but certainly also in Frysk.
A wedding ceremony is an official, a celebratory, but most of all your moment. I am happy to participate!
