Voting pass and proxy

You will need a voting pass to vote. Your voting pass will be sent to the address where you are registered on February 2, no later than two weeks before the election. If you are unable to come to a polling station yourself, you can authorize someone else to vote on your behalf.

Voting card: required to vote

You need a voting pass to vote. Your voting pass will be sent to your registered address no later than two weeks before the election. If you are unable to come to a polling station yourself, you can authorize someone else to vote on your behalf.

You can use your voting pass at all polling stations in Opsterland. Did you not receive a voting pass or did you lose your voting pass? Then you can apply for a replacement voting pass.

Please note: You can request a replacement voter registration card at the town hall reception desk no later than March 17 (12:00 p.m.).

Proxy: to have someone else vote on your behalf

Sometimes you cannot go to the polling station yourself, for example because of illness, vacation or work. You can have someone else vote for you. This is called proxy voting. The person you authorize can only cast your vote at the same time as his or her own.

Would you like to authorize someone from the municipality of Opsterland? Fill in the back of your voting pass and sign both sides. Then give your voting pass to the authorized representative. Would you like to authorize someone before you have received your voting pass? Then click on the button Request a proxy. You can also download and fill in a form. You will find this at the bottom of the page or click here to download it.
