Starting a business?
Would you like to start your own business from social security, but are not sure how to go about it? Then you may qualify for a pathway towards self-employment, the pre-start. This arrangement makes it possible, with the help of a coach, to prepare yourself for starting your own business. You keep your Social assistance benefit during this pathway and are exempt from work obligations. During this period you learn, for example, to write a business plan and acquire entrepreneurial skills.
If you start your own business from social assistance, you can get financial support under the Besluit bijstandverlening zelfstandigen (Bbz). Are you already an entrepreneur and does your business have financial problems or do you want to stop doing business? Then, too, you can appeal to the Bbz under Requirements . The Bureau voor Zelfstandigen Fryslân (BZF) implements this scheme for the municipality of Opsterland. Check the website: www.bureauzelfstandigenfryslan.nl. Your contact person at the municipality can support you and/or refer you to the contact person within the BZF.
Part-time entrepreneurship
Do you receive Social assistance benefit benefits and see opportunities to earn money as an entrepreneur for a few hours a week? You can work part-time under Requirements from the Participation Act. You can do part-time business while retaining your Social assistance benefit. You do what you are good at and you increase your chances of getting out of your benefit situation. You work on an income to support yourself and build a network.
