Clerk Civil Affairs & Customer Contact

MBO4 I €3,980 I year contract with a view to permanent I 28-32 hours

After a hearty cup of coffee and a quick chat with a colleague, you are ready to start the day. Today you start with civil affairs. First you help a proud father with the birth of his daughter. Then an elderly couple applying for a new passport. Targeted and structured, you perform the related administration, while at the same time keeping the connection with the residents.

In the afternoon, your focus shifts to the phone. You take every call with enthusiasm and answer a variety of questions clearly. You can help most clients immediately, which feels good.

What will you do?

As an employee in the public center, you are a true link between the customer and the organization. With determination and a smile, you move effortlessly between providing information and resolving questions. It's not about superficial answers, but about really asking questions and helping the customer right away. You know exactly how to strike the right balance between personal contact and efficiency.

Every day is different in this versatile position. At the front desk, you will handle a variety of tasks: from applications for driver's licenses and passports, to registering removals, births and deaths. On the phone you will answer a variety of questions, from public order to taxes. You see it as a challenge to handle as many questions as possible directly yourself. Together with your colleagues you also perform administrative tasks, identify changes and opportunities for improvement, and enter customer data.

The position is very broad: in addition to telephony, reception and the front desk, you will also be expected to take on a specific area of responsibility, such as address research. You like to think actively about improvements and how the team and the organization can grow together and take the initiative at times when there is room for this. As a result, there is always variety in your job, which makes it so interesting for you.

Here's what we offer you

  • Attractive terms of employment; an attractive salary according to scale 7 of the collective labor agreement for municipalities (max. € 3,980 gross per month at 36 hours per week) an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 17.05%, commuting allowance, a pension plan through ABP and discounts on various insurances.
  • A varied job; one day you will be busy with requests for (travel) documents and the next day you will be on the phone helping the customer find a suitable solution.
  • Plenty of development opportunities through training, courses and workshops.
  • A good working atmosphere; every morning you are greeted kindly by your colleagues and there is certainly no lack of humor here.
  • Room for your ideas; if you think things can be done differently we are open to that.
  • Attention to your vitality; participation in our vitality program, annual multiple activities with the entire organization and team, and a fun and healthy work café!

  • You are used to switching in work and between systems and are not afraid of change.
