Energy surcharge 2023 - 2024
Do you have a low income? Then you may be entitled to the 2023 energy supplement. This is an extra to help pay for increased energy costs.
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to apply for the energy surcharge. This was possible until July 1, 2024 at the latest.

Registration is no longer possible. This was possible until July 1, 2024.
Requirements
You may be eligible for energy allowance if:
- You are 21 years of age or older;
- You have a low income (up to 120% of the welfare standard);
- you or a co-resident have not previously had the 2023 energy allowance;
- You occupy a home with energy costs.
Good to know
- Students and scholars are not entitled to energy allowance, you can apply at DUO.
- If you are married or cohabiting, you will receive the supplement only if you both meet the Requirements .

Do you have a low income and are entitled to social assistance? Then fill in the form 'Application for individual income supplement, social assistance beneficiaries' (at the top of this page under the heading 'Directly arrange'). You may be eligible for an individual income supplement.
If you are not entitled to social assistance and have a low income, please complete the form 'Application for individual income supplement, not entitled to social assistance' (at the top of this page under the heading 'Directly arrange'). You may be eligible for an individual income supplement.
