Paying tax assessment
What you have to pay is listed on the annual assessment. The municipality sends the assessment each year starting in February.
Directly arrange

Automatic Direct Debit
Direct debit is the easiest way to pay. You don't have to do anything yourself; we automatically debit the money from your account. Moreover, you do not pay all at once, but spread over the year (maximum 10 instalments). You can arrange this by giving us an authorization.
Direct debit takes place on each last day of the month. Health make sure there is enough money in your account by then.
If the direct debit fails twice, it will expire. This can happen, for example, because there was not enough money in the account at the time of debiting or because you revoke the direct debit yourself. The outstanding amount must then be paid before the last due date (or immediately if it has already expired).
Are you leaving the municipality? Then the collection will automatically stop when the assessment is paid in full or after the last installment is collected.
Payment scheme
Don't want a direct debit? Then request a payment plan. Please note that this has fewer installments. You must then transfer the amount yourself each month.
You can request a payment plan from the municipality's collection team by calling (0512) 386 222 or sending an email to
How does it work?
Whether you get a payment arrangement depends on your financial situation. This also determines what the payment arrangement looks like and under which Requirements you get the arrangement. You will only get a payment arrangement if you cannot pay the municipal taxes now, but will be able to later.
Can't pay municipal taxes because of your income? Then you may be entitled to remission. Read more information about remission here.
