Basic Registration of Addresses and Buildings (BAG).

The BAG (Basic Registration of Addresses and Buildings) contains data of all official addresses and buildings in the municipality. As examples: year of construction, area of use, purpose of use, zip code, naming of public spaces (street naming), number designations (house numbering) and location on the Map (geometry).

BAG Rural Facility

The municipality is responsible for recording the data in the BAG. Copies of all this data are collected in a National Facility (BAG LV) to which all municipalities are connected.

The Land Registry

The Land Registry manages the BAG LV and makes the data available to government agencies (for example, the Tax Office, Chamber of Commerce and utility companies), companies and individuals. This central system ensures that you as a resident or company do not have to repeatedly provide the same data to customers who are connected to the BAG LV.

Basic Registration of Persons

The municipality is also an important user of the BAG. For example, building and address data are used in the valuation of real estate (WOZ) and address data for maintaining the Basic Registration of PersonsBRP).

Consultation and feedback

All data listed in the BAG can be viewed via the BAG viewer. This is free for anyone to consult. If you are under the impression that a data is incorrect, you can also use the BAG viewer to report back.

Surveying work

After a construction activity is performed, the new situation on site is measured by a surveyor. This information is registered in the BAG. It is necessary to enter your property in order to take the measurements. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.
