Waste collection in winter weather
Due to current weather conditions (slippery roads and snow), it is currently difficult for garbage truck drivers to empty all containers safely. Narrow roads and hard-to-reach areas are particularly challenging.
Help us ensure a smooth collection process
To ensure the safety of our drivers and to ensure that your waste can still be collected, we ask for your cooperation:
- Placement: Place your container in an easily accessible and safe location along the road.
- Space: Health the vehicle can access the area easily and that the passageway is not blocked by accumulated snow.
Tip: Prevent a frozen lid
Nothing is more annoying than a container that cannot be emptied because the lid is frozen shut. A simple solution: Place a small wooden slat, a twig, or a clothespin between the lid and the edge of the container. This will leave a small opening and prevent the lid from freezing to the container.
